A lot of you thinking along the same lines
We asked, you answered.

We’ve talked about this a lot lately since it’s been one of the few things that have had an air of mystery. We know that Rob Thomson would like to put Trea Turner in the top position, but we just haven’t seen it in practice yet. Well, as you can see, 71% of people think that Turner should be at the top.
When the first lineup is written in Washington this coming Thursday, most people would like to see Turner taking the first pitch of the season, not Kyle Schwarber. It’s likely nothing against Turner. Instead, it’s probable that most people would rather see Schwarber put into a position where he can drive in more runs with his power rather his it being “wasted” on solo home runs. That’s fine and good, but always remember – his leadoff home runs also gave the Phillies a lead.
It’s going to be a thing that is in flux all season long. Maybe it’s Turner at the top one day and Schwarber there another. Maybe there is another iteration of the lineup that can be made a different hitter there (Bryson Stott?). It’ll be one of the major storylines to watch as the season progresses.
