You said it, not me
The Phillies are a good team. I have made that argument all season, all offseason and will continue to make that argument into the waning months of the 2025 season. No amount of pessimism I might have over one small subsection of the team right now (ahemcenterfield) can alter that concept in my head.
Still winning 95 games is a tall task to ask even those clubs that are considered to be superpowers. Winning that many games requires talent and health and luck, a triumvirate that every team wishes to achieve in a season, Pittsburgh and Chicago (AL) notwithstanding. A team needs to be firing on all cylinders in order to win that many games more often than not and with the Phillies right now, I’m not sure I see them getting there.
What did you think?

There is room for optimism that this team will get there. 95 wins is nothing to sneeze at and would constitute a successful season regardless of whether or not said team wins a World Series. With the Phillies, there do seem to be areas that they need to improve at before we can talk about them getting to the number posted here. The strength of the starting rotation is probably as good a spot as any to think of as the way to get them to 95 victories, so as long as they stay healthy as a collective, they should have a good shot at hitting that number.
