Is this real life?
So the Phillies – THE PHILLIES – have three starters now on National League All Star team.

Folks, it’s been a minute since the Phillies had three starters in an All-Star game.
Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and Alec Bohm were all chosen by fans to start for the National League All-Star team. It’s the first time since 1982 the Phillies have three elected All-Star starters.

No more phases, no more campaigns – the Phillies really do have three starters for an All-Star game.
The best part of all of it is that all three are deserving of their respective nods. Harper is having an MVP season, Bohm is the league leader in RBI and Turner, even with the injury, is still one of the best shortstops in the NL. All three starters are justified.
The rest of the team will be announced on Sunday, where substitutes and pitchers will find out who is going to Texas to join this trio. It’s possible that the team ends up throwing as many as six players on the plane to Arlington when all is said and done. We’ll have more about that when that announcement is made this weekend, but congratulations to these three players. All are deserving All-Stars.
