Well today is the day. Taijuan Walker will take the mound this afternoon for his first start of 2025. It’s an outcome many may have doubted was possible, and even those that resigned themselves to the possibility would probably contend it came earlier than expected. Nevertheless, Ranger Suárez’ injury forced the Phillies hand, and Walker will once again toe the rubber after a whole offseason of his roster status being in question.
