People want our people? Not so fast!
The Phillies made some news yesterday with their promotion of Preston Mattingly to the general manager’s role. As was speculated (and somewhat confirmed), the team just didn’t want to let Mattingly slip through their fingers.
Remember all those years when it seemed like the Phillies had front office people and coaches that weren’t all that desirable outside of the city limits? It’s nice to see that they have some front office people and members of the coaching staff that others are jealous of.
