Get well soon, say we all
It’s not yet April, but already we’re getting showers. The metaphorical rain on our parade is today’s news that Ranger Suárez is dealing with back tightness, and will be missing his scheduled start on Friday.
Rob Thomson said Ranger Suárez felt tightness in his back on Sunday night. He underwent tests and the Phillies will know more in the next few days.

There is some good news, however:
Worth noting that Thomson said it was “not quite as bad” as the back injury Suárez dealt with last year, and “he felt a lot better today.” https://t.co/RHiljIoRaW

The back injury from last year kept Suárez out for a month; here’s hoping tests will confirm this year’s injury is indeed less severe.
Should Suárez start the regular season on the injured list, Taijuan Walker will likely step into the rotation to take his place.
