It’s a slow day today
Picture it: your room, present day.
The Phillies are not on for your viewing pleasure this evening, yet you still got a hankerin’ to watch some ‘ball. MLB Network is likely showing a game, probably something like the Reds and Marlins, but that doesn’t tickle your fancy enough. You need your other team that you follow to be on to have something to fall asleep to, to enjoy and ponder, however you consume other teams.
Which leads us to our question of the day: if the Phillies are not on, which team are actively trying to watch? This isn’t one of those “who is your second favorite team?” questions that my young son likes to ask me on an almost daily basis (his is the Orioles) because I don’t believe in second favorite teams. I barely have enough time for one team, let along a second one to dig into with any kind of fervor. No, instead, if you had to watch another team play, which team is it going to be?
Maybe you want to watch the dynasty that is growing in Los Angeles continue to crystallize into their final form. Maybe it’s a division opponent in order to keep tabs on who the Phillies are going to have to fight down the stretch. Maybe it’s someone from the opposite league that has always peaked your interest. Maybe it’s based on matchups that day, a pitcher you’ve always wanted to watch but never could.
Who’s it gonna be????
