The Eagles offense looks like it will be high-flying in 2024.
During the public practice that the Eagles held at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night, the Birds offense looked like it could get back to 2022 form. AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Hurts all looked amazing, and it is something to get excited about.
Jalen Hurts looks like he could be mobile again in 2024. Last season, it was clear he wasn’t fully healthy, and the coaches were scared to call any QB runs. This year, with Hurts fully healthy, it is clear Kellen Moore isn’t afraid to dial it up, and let Hurts use his legs.
The offensive line looks like they won’t miss a beat without the future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce. The receivers also look like they’re ready to dominate the field. Earlier this week during a press conference, AJ Brown said DeVonta Smith looks even better this year, and that he expects him to take another big leap. It is hard not to be excited about the possibilities that present themselves with the personnel that the Eagles have on offense.
It is also exciting that we have a play caller that can mix things up. We can all agree that last year’s offense was stagnant and predictable. This year we can expect that to be different. It is going to be refreshing to see some pre-snap motion and some players lining up at different spots.
There aren’t many questions that remain about the offense except for who will play left guard? Who will be WR3? Who will be TE2?
These questions will be answered with time, and these being the only questions are a good showing of how good of a spot the Eagles offense is in.
We could see the return of the best offense in the NFL in Philly this season. They look good so far at camp, and we can all hope they carry this momentum into the season.
