The Eagles’ streak of scoreless first quarters extended to six games, but the offense woke up in the second quarter, and thanks to Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia is 4-2 and atop the NFC East.
Barkley rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown in his return to MetLife Stadium, as the Eagles dominated the Giants 28-3 in Sunday’s Week 7 win. Philadelphia star quarterback Jalen Hurts scored on two tush-push quarterback sneaks and threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown as the Birds defeated the Giants (2-5) for the sixth time in seven games and 14th in 17. Hurts exercised some demons, while Vic Fangio’s defense in Philadelphia recorded eight sacks and limited New York to 119 yards of total offense.
With Week 8 quickly approaching, here are takeaways and observations from the win.
