Saquon Barkley had a tremendous season in his first year for the Eagles, finishing as the top running back in fantasy while winning Offensive Player of the Year and the Super Bowl. He was rewarded with a two-year, $41.2 million contract, making him the first running back to earn at least $20 million a year. The Saquon Barkley dynasty outlook is very encouraging for the next few seasons.

Dynasty Outlook for Saquon Barkley
Current Production
Barkley signed a three-year deal to join the Eagles before the 2024 season after spending the first six years of his career with the Giants. When he came to the Eagles, there were concerns that he would not have many receptions or score many touchdowns due to Jalen Hurts’ ability to run the tush push. Both of those concerns were true, but Barkley and the Eagles offensive line were so amazing that Barkley still finished as the best running back in fantasy football.
Barkley led the league with 345 carries and 2,005 rushing yards. He had 13 rushing touchdowns, and it could have been a lot more if it was not for Hurts. Barkley had 33 receptions for 278 receiving yards, the first time he failed to have at least 40 catches in a fully healthy season. He finished as the overall RB1 in fantasy (Weeks 1 – 17) in all scoring formats.
However, this was not the best fantasy season of his career, as he finished with 385.8 PPR fantasy points in his rookie season in 2018 compared to 355.3 this season. He had 91 receptions in 2018, making the difference.
Dynasty Price
According to KeepTradeCut, Barkley is the RB4 in dynasty leagues, behind Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, and Ashton Jeanty, and is right ahead of De’Von Achane, Breece Hall, and Bucky Irving. A fair trade for Barkley would be for the second overall pick in rookie drafts.
Contract
Barkley originally signed a three-year contract for the 2024 through 2026 seasons. This two-year extension he just signed will keep him on the Eagles through the 2028 season, meaning he has four years left in Philadelphia. This will take him through his age 31 season, making it likely he will end his career here.
Barkley Dynasty Outlook
Barkley is entering his age 28 season and eighth season in the league in 2025. He is becoming old for an NFL running back. Barkley started his career with injury concerns, only playing more than 13 games one time in his first four seasons, which was his rookie year. He has been able to play in at least 14 games in the last three seasons. The Eagles have a great offensive line and are able to protect Barkley. Barkley was making plays at another level in 2024, showing no signs of slowing down. Assuming health, Barkley looks to have multiple years left in the tank.
What to Do With Saquon Barkley in Dynasty Leagues
It is not time to sell Barkley away yet unless you are in full rebuild mode. He still has at least two years left of elite fantasy production. If you are a dynasty manager in a win-now mode, Barkley is one of the best players to trade for, as he has multiple years left compared to Derrick Henry, who might only have one solid year left of production. It will take a steep price to trade for Barkley, but it will be worth it.
