The Eagles will be heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys this Sunday afternoon. The Cowboys are off to a worse start than we imagined they would, but there is still some energy behind the game. Its rivalry week for the Birds, and it should be a good one down in Dallas.
The Cowboys have been hit with some big injuries this year. Most recently Dak Prescott was placed on IR with a hamstring injury. The Cowboys haven’t been able to win most of their games like the Eagles have done, even though the Eagles have had injuries of their own. The Cowboys are going to make the injuries an excuse for having a bad season so far, but that’s not an excuse at all. They can even ask their own QB, who was recently seen saying “we f*ucking suck” on the sidelines!
The Eagles will be looking to win their fifth straight game. They will have to take on a team who is playing their backup QB, but the Eagles have lost plenty of games to backups in their day. Cooper Rush has been solid for Dallas when he’s had to play. He has a 5-1 record, with the only loss coming against the Eagles. Aside from one stint he spent with the Giants in 2020, he has been on the Cowboys since 2017 and has a vast amount of knowledge about their offense. Even though he doesn’t play that much, he still knows what he’s doing out there.
The Eagles should win this one, especially because of how bad Dallas’s defense has been this season. This game has a potential to be a big one from the Eagles offense. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith should be able to take advantage of the injured cowboys and put up some big numbers tomorrow.
Even though there’s not as much juice as usual, it is still rivalry week, and this is a huge game.
