The Los Angeles Rams continued to add to their backfield on Tuesday.
Per the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the team agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Eagles running back Boston Scott.
Scott spent the last six seasons in Philadelphia where he appeared in 75 games and made 12 starts. He joins a Rams RB room that includes breakout star Kyren Williams and third-round pick Blake Corum.
Scott emerged as a nice change-of-pace back for the Eagles after first cracking the lineup back in 2019.
While he was never really Philly’s feature back, the 29-year-old had a nice impact on the team’s offense and gained 1,295 yards on 302 carries with 17 total scores.
LA was definitely in need of depth at the ballcarrier spot and Les Snead and Sean McVay were able to put together some nice additions. After last week’s NFL Draft, the Rams head coach said he had a “good vibe” about what the team was building this offseason.
“It’s all projections, but there was a resume and a body of work that all 10 of these players had, that there was a consensus, there was a consistent and really unanimous good vibes and feel from both his [Snead’s] group, from our coaching staff and ultimately our organization,” McVay explained, via the team’s website.
Los Angeles finished the regular season 10-7 last year before losing to the Detroit Lions by one in the Wild Card round.
