The Philadelphia Eagles stood firm and got their man in the NFL Draft last night, taking Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell No. 22 overall. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was so happy that he did something rather interesting in response.
After general manager Howie Roseman submitted the pick and Roger Goodell announced it, cameras in the Eagles’ war room caught Sirianni giving Roseman a pat on the back – specifically, a smack on his posterior.

“Lmfaooooooo love tap,” a third wrote.
There’s been a lot of rumblings about Nick Sirianni since the middle of the NFL season. After the Eagles started losing a few games, there was a lot of speculation that he might lose his job if the team failed to make a deep playoff run.
The Eagles were one-and-done but Sirianni kept his job. However, there have still been reports that Sirianni could be on borrowed time in Philadelphia and that his next year without a trip to the playoffs could be his last.
Sirianni probably needs Quinyon Mitchell to be the next Darrelle Revis if he wants to avoid a fate like that.
