On Tuesday, Kellen Moore became the 19th head coach in Saints franchise history. The expected move will force Philadelphia to name a new offensive coordinator for the third consecutive offseason.
Veteran NFL assistant Kevin Patullo has been working with the Eagles offense since the 2021 season, and he has a shot at being the leading candidate to assume the role of Hurts’ fourth offensive coordinator in this system. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Philadelphia’s passing game coordinator could be a candidate for a coordinator job with the Eagles and Saints.
Look for Philadelphia associate head coach/pass-game coordinator Kevin Patullo to receive strong consideration for both the #Eagles and #Saints offensive coordinator jobs.

During his Super Bowl press conference last Thursday, Sirianni raved about Patullo amid rumors that Moore was exiting.

Patullo’s role as the passing game coordinator has provided some head coach and offensive coordinator responsibilities.
“I get to do both, which is very fortunate,” he said. “I get to see a lot of stuff as a coach that most people don’t get to see if they’re not the head coach. So from that point of view, it’s very unique. (Head coach Nick Sirianni) trusts me, and obviously we’re very close and I get to be part of a lot of decisions. So that’s really valuable to me.”
Patullo has played a key role in the development of Jalen Hurts. The 44-year-old has been a quarterbacks coach and pass-game specialist at the NFL level for most of the last 20 years.
A critical component in this scenario is that Sirianni can’t block Patullo from gaining a promotion. If New Orleans had an interest in Patullo as a passing game coordinator or in a similar role, the Eagles head coach could block such a move.
