Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce received a gift while at a charity golf outing this Monday.
The Vincera Institute presented Kelce with his very own saxophone. Believe it or not, he actually played that instrument well before he turned into a football star.
Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL earlier this offseason. He’ll have plenty of time to play the saxophone and get back into music.
“I played saxophone before football. I played all through high school. When I got to college, I figured no one wanted to hear me play in some dorm, so I started playing guitar,” Kelce said. “Music has been a big part of my life. I love to encourage our youth to be active in music. I think it’s a wonderful expression. I want to get back into playing saxophone. I have not played in a wild. Maybe I’ll be able to walk down Broad St. with this thing this year.”
After Kelce opened up about his love for music, one of the attendees at this event played “Fly Eagles Fly” on the saxophone. It was pretty awesome to hear.
The official social media account for SportsRadio 94WIP shared a video of this awesome moment.

Eagles fans noticed that Kelce is in outstanding shape. That makes sense considering his playing days are over.
Thankfully, the NFL world doesn’t have to say goodbye to Kelce. We’ll hear plenty from him on his “New Heights” podcast.
