As it became real that the Eagles were going to win the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts had some special moments with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley on the sideline.
The NFL aired the mic’ed up Super Bowl on Wednesday night, and as the win became more likely the reality, Jalen Hurts had some special moments with the guys around him.
The QB didn’t want to get too far ahead of himself, even admitting to Grant Calcaterra that he lost his soul in the last Super Bowl and wouldn’t break a smile until the clock hit zero. As the minutes went on, however, Hurts started giving Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown their flowers. Hurts made sure those guys knew the impact they had in this team’s success, and had some personal moments of reflection with Smith and Brown, whose friendships go back years.
After all the noise about drama among these teammates throughout the season, it’s cool to see them embrace and appreciate each other as they reach the pinnacle of success.
