If You Are Looking to Win a Super Bowl — Philadelphia Is the Place to Play.
Welcome, all. If all that is missing in your NFL career is a Super Bowl Championship Ring — then the Eagles are the franchise that you want to join. And you better believe it — every NFL player wants to join them.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the cream of the NFL crop — and Philly is the place that every NFL free agent wishes to come to. That played out this week the Eagles acquired several lucky NFL veterans who joined the team for the upcoming 2025 season.

If you remember the Green Bay Packers one-two running back punch several years ago when NFL defenses chased Aaron Jones around the field and then were battered by the running of AJ Dillon especially in short yardage — then you are probably happy to have him. The Eagles are too. Dillon not only rounds out the rushing attack with the NFL’s best rusher — but Dillon also provides some security in case the Tush-Push becomes illegal by September.
He also adds another dimension to tax already gassed NFL defenses who have already spent all of Sunday afternoon chasing around Saquon Barkley. More short-yardage options also means potentially less hits on Jalen Hurts.
Offensive Guard Kenyon Green will be another welcome addition to Jeff Stoutland’s room. Acquired in the trade from the Texans that included CJ Gardener-Johnson — the addition of green certainly signals security to replace Mekhi Becton. Green was a 15th overall selection out of Texas A&M where the 6 foot 4, 325 pound twenty-four year old played four out of seven offensive line positions.

If you can’t beat them (they couldn’t) then join them. Joshua Uche leaves the Kansas City roster to join the Eagles. The 60th overall pick in the covid-restricted draft that also brought Philadelphia Jalen Hurts — Uche was all Big-Ten at the University of Michigan. Drafted in 2020 by the Patriots — Uche joins the Eagles after spending last season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Outside linebacker Patrick Johnson returns to the Eagles after a year with the Giants. Johnson was selected with the 234th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Eagles. He will potentially be a replacement for Oren Burks behind Nakobi Dean.
Avery Williams joins a crowded Eagles backfield that now also includes AJ Dillon. But the addition of Williams — who was drafted with the 183rd overall selection by the Atlanta Falcons in 2021 — brings the Eagles both kickoff and punt return abilities to support Cooper DeJean. Williams was the 2022 NFL leading punt returner.
Welcome one, welcome all.
