It was a long-anticipated debut, but Saquon Barkley was worth the wait. The former Penn State star and Giants first-round pick accounted for 132 total yards and three touchdowns in his Philadelphia debut, leading the Eagles to a 34-29 win over the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Philadelphia is 1-0 on the season, and more importantly, they have the swagger and bounce back after losing six of their final seven games down the stretch last year. The Eagles’ defense was solid through the first three drives before surrendering three straight touchdowns. Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith all amassed 75+ yards on the night and put opposing teams on notice.
