Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has the NFL world buzzing on Friday.
He got everyone going when he changed his profile picture on Twitter to Tom Brady in a New England Patriots jersey.
In a since-deleted tweet about why Brown changed his profile picture, he said that Brady is his favorite player ever and he had a blast watching that dynasty.
“TB12 is my favorite player ever. I watch the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/disrespected. Yeah, I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s it,” Brown posted, via NESN.
Despite changing his profile picture, Brown is still a Philadelphia Eagle and is likely to remain that way, per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.
“Philadelphia has gotten inquiries on A.J. Brown and they have shut them all down and told other teams he is not available,” Breer said, via Bleacher Report.
Breer also confirmed that the Patriots were one of the teams that inquired about Brown.
Brown just wrapped up his second season with the Eagles, finishing with 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns.
In both seasons with the Eagles, he’s compiled over 1,400 yards and at least seven touchdowns.
