The National Football League’s My Cause My Cleats campaign will kick off over the next two weeks. The Eagles players will showcase their charitable causes by wearing specially designed game cleats for their matchups on Sunday, Dec. 1, when the team visits the Baltimore Ravens.
“My Cause My Cleats is an opportunity for NFL players to call attention to the important work being done by the charitable organizations they support,” said Eagles All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson. “We are lucky to have great leaders around the league, especially here in Philadelphia starting with Mr. (Jeffrey) Lurie (Chairman and CEO of the Eagles), who have given us a platform to help raise awareness for the issues we are passionate about off the field. I am proud to join my teammates and the NFL family as we look to shine a light on the many causes around the world that need our support.”
Eagles coaches and staff will join in on those efforts by wearing custom Eagles Autism Foundation sneakers to support the team’s mission to raise funds for innovative autism research and programs.
The My Cause My Cleats campaign is an annual initiative that empowers players to express their commitment to the causes they support through creative artwork and custom designs on their game cleats.
