Over the past few seasons, the Eagles have been pretty lucky when it comes to injuries. They escaped week one without any major concerns, and they are heading into week two with some new players on the injury report.
Devin White was out week one with an ankle injury, but he was a listed as a full participant in Friday’s injury report. White should be ready to play his first game as a Philadelphia Eagle on Monday night. Isaiah Rodgers also missed last week’s game with a hand injury, but he too was listed as a full participant in Friday’s report, so he should be ready to go on Monday night too.
There were some new injuries on the report this week. Milton Williams popped up on the report with a foot injury, and he was limited in practice. Fred Johnson also popped up on the report with a thumb injury. He too was limited in practice.
The most worrisome addition to the report is A.J. Brown popping up with a hamstring injury. He was limited in practice. It wouldn’t be good if Brown had to miss time. We aren’t quite sure how severe the injury is, but since he was limited in practice, and not listed as a non-participant, hopefully he will be able to play.
Hamstring injuries are not something to mess with. They can linger around for a long time, and it would be devastating to lose A.J. Brown for an extended period of time. It would also be devastating for Brown to play but to have an injury that makes him play worse than he should. We all saw how Jalen Hurts injury affected him last season, and we don’t want that to happen again with Brown.
Overall the Eagles remain fairly healthy. We will have to wait and see what happens with A.J. Brown, but the Eagles should be careful with him.
