The Philadelphia Eagles are still unsure if center Jason Kelce will return for the 2024 season and they’re okay with that for right now.
Eagle general manager Howie Roseman recently told ProFootballTalk that they don’t want to rush Kelce to make a decision and will give him ample time.
“I know this, I don’t think there’s a scenario in any of our minds, starting with (owner Jeffrey Lurie), where Jason plays anywhere else,” Roseman said, via ProFootballTalk. “He deserves the time to decide what he wants to do. Obviously, we’re gonna accommodate that because he doesn’t need to be rushed on that.”
It’s only late February and the new league year isn’t starting until mid-March. Heck, the 2024 NFL Draft isn’t taking place until late April.
The Eagles still have at least a couple of months before they’d probably need to know what Kelce decides to do.
If he decides to return, then they’ll have their starting center for another season but if he calls it quits, they’ll have to replace him in free agency or the draft.
Let’s see what the 13-year veteran decides to do.
