The Eagles’ defensive backs coach is rising up the NFL ranks and interviewed for the Saints defensive coordinator position. On Friday, the Eagles received good news after New Orleans named Brandon Staley defensive coordinator, rounding out Moore’s staff.
Saints are hiring former Chargers head coach and 49ers assistant Brandon Staley as their defensive coordinator, per me and @JFowlerESPN. Saints HC Kellen Moore and Staley worked together with the Chargers, and now will do the same for the Saints. pic.twitter.com/ITEsTRk3JF

Parker just finished his first year as the Philadelphia Eagles’ passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach. Before his arrival, Parker coached the defensive backs for the Denver Broncos from 2021-23.
In 2023, Parker oversaw a group featuring second-team Associated Press All-Pro safety Justin Simmons and Pro Bowl cornerback Pat Surtain. Under Parker’s direction, Simmons led the Broncos’ defense with three interceptions to go along with 70 tackles and eight passes defended, while Surtain finished with 12 passes defensed and one interception.
Parker played a key role this season in developing Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, two NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year candidates.
