Is there a Big 5 transfer portal pipeline to the Main Line?
After securing an earlier commitment from former Penn player Tyler Perkins, Villanova got another addition on Sunday night, as La Salle graduate transfer Jhamir Brickus announced his commitment to the ‘Cats.
The 5-foot-11 guard visited Villanova over the weekend and selected the Wildcats over VCU and South Carolina, the other three schools in his final three list.
Brickus averaged a career-best 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 43.3% overall and 40.8% from three-point range this past season with the Explorers.
An impact player for La Salle from day one, Brickus earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman and was only the 10th player in program history to earn all-rookie recognition from the conference.
He appeared in 119 games, starting in 104 of them, throughout his four years at La Salle. Brickus is averaging 10.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game throughout his college basketball career.
