Villanova University has confirmed the separation with Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Kyle Neptune.
Kyle Neptune’s tenure as the ninth head of Villanova Basketball is over after three seasons on the Main Line compiling a 54-47 record. Across BIG EAST Conference play, ‘Nova went 31-29 in regular season action and 3-3 in the Conference Tournament with Neptune at the helm.
‘Nova transitioned to Neptune at the conclusion of the Wildcats’ Final Four run and Jay Wright’s abrupt departure in 2022. The hire sought continuity from within the Villanova Family as Neptune served on Wright’s staff for nine seasons, including the National Championships of 2016 and 2018.
According to the University, assistant coach Mike Nardi has been named the Interim Head Coach as a national search for the next leader begins.
