Kyle Neptune and the Villanova coaching staff pulled in a big one on Wednesday with a verbal commitment from Miami guard Wooga Poplar.

The 6-5 junior averaged 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this season. A Philly native who went to Math, Civics, and Sciences Charter School, was also considering Oregon, and Ketucky after he withdrew from the NBA Draft ahead of last week’s deadline.
Poplar joins Jhamir Brickus (La Salle), Tyler Perkins (Penn) and Enoch Boakye (Fresno State) as incoming transfers to the ‘Cats.
