Coach K has made a lasting impact in the world of college basketball. Villanova head coach Jay Wright spoke at length about the Duke head coach’s legacy during an interview on The Herd on Thursday.
“He’s been an incredible winner and he’s done it with class. He was my entree to @usabasketball… I’ve seen him win Olympics and NCAA championships. He’s done it differently with each group,” Wright said.

Coach K is trying to take advantage of his last-ever season coaching college basketball.
The Duke head coach lost his last regular season game and fell to Virginia Tech in the ACC title. Despite the rough end to the season, the Blue Devils are a two-seed in the Big Dance.
Coach will no doubt try and take his team on a special run to cap what’s been a historic career.
“I’m just going to go for it, and that’s what I’ve tried to do all season long,” Krzyzewski said, via ESPN. “I just want to be in the moment. I’m excited.”
Villanova, meanwhile, is also a two-seed. Jay Wright and the Wildcats, however, are flying a bit under the radar.
Will the Wildcats and Blue Devils go on special runs in the Big Dance? Both begin their March journeys on Friday.
