Dante Allen, a four-star guard in the class of 2025, has officially signed with Villanova, the school announced in a release Thursday.
The 6-4 Allen rose to prominence at Riviera Prep in Miami the last two seasons before transferring to Montverde Academy for 2024-25. Last season he averaged 21.0 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game at Riviera Prep.
He also helped his AAU team, Nightrydas Elite, capture three straight titles at the Nike Peach Jam Festival, alongside five-star Caleb Wilson and Duke commits Cameron and Cayden Boozer.
“We are so excited to formally welcome Dante to the Villanova family,” stated Villanova head coach Kyle Neptune. “Dante is a tough, intelligent guard who drives winning. He is extremely versatile in getting to the rim, shooting and making plays for others. And of course, he brings a great pedigree as the son of two Villanova alums, one of whom is a Hall of Famer for what he accomplished in his playing career here.”
Allen’s father Malik Allen is currently an assistant coach with the Miami Heat, playing four seasons with the Wildcats (1996-2000), scoring 1,131 points and collecting 708 rebounds. He was named third team All-BIG EAST as a senior in 1999-2000 and was a 2021 inductee into the Villanova Varsity Club Hall of Fame.
