Gavalyugov is coming off of a recent strong showing at the Adidas EuroCamp, where he averaged 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over 24 minutes per game. He posted a 22-point, six-assist performance against Team USA Select.
In last year’s FIBA U18 Division B European Championships, he averaged 22 points and six rebounds per game for Team Bulgaria.
The 6-foot-2 point guard also reportedly had offers from Albany, Drexel, Indiana State, San Francisco, Illinois-Chicago (UIC), Incarnate Word and Wyoming.
Gavalyugov joins an incoming class that also features prior 2024 commits Matthew Hodge, Josiah Moseley and Malcolm Thomas. Villanova now only has one final scholarship spot remaining.
