Temple on Friday landed a pledge from 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward Babatunde Durodola, who will reclassify to 2024 and enroll this season.
“We are so excited to welcome Babatunde Durodola to the Temple Family,” said head coach Adam Fisher. “Tunde’s versatility and motor will be a major addition to our front court. He has competed at a high level with DME Academy and Canada Elite on the UAA Circuit. That experience will help him immediately transition to our program. As we got to know Tunde during the recruiting process he was a natural fit for our program as a person. He is a leader in his community and role model for younger kids back home in Canada.”
He filled the stat sheet this past season at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., averaging 14.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.
“The [Temple] coaches made me feel comfortable and the vibes they bring on and off the court [made me pick them,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I feel like I bring some versatility in a sense to the 4 position being able to handle it in the full court and half court, too.”
Temple recently completed summer workouts and is coming off an appearance in the AAC championship game.
