James Franklin is reportedly adding an esteemed alumni name to his 2024 Penn State staff.
Per The Daily Collegian, former Nittany Lions defensive lineman Jordan Hill is set to return to the school as the program’s “director of life skills.”
Hill is expected to be responsible for aiding Penn State’s football team in various aspects of off-field college life. Including NIL, academic check-ins, recruiting and managing on-campus housing.
The 33-year-old suited up for Penn State from 2009-2012 before being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Hill went on to play four NFL seasons between the ‘Hawks and Jaguars, winning a Super Bowl with Seattle as a rookie and reaching another in his second year.
Prior to his arrival in Happy Valley, Hill had served as head coach at Trinity High School in Pennsylvania where he posted a 21-15 record and won a District III Class 2A title in 2022 before stepping down two weeks ago.
“We are privileged that he came to Trinity and not only helped build the program, but he helped build the morale of the school,” Trinity athletic director Alanna Stuart told PennLive.com of Hill’s resignation.
Penn State finished with a 10-3 record last season, losing to Ole Miss in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
