Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss will not have to face one of Penn State’s best players in the upcoming Peach Bowl.
On Tuesday, Nittany Lions star pass rusher Chop Robinson announced on X/Twitter he’ll be bypassing the bowl game to begin preparation for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Kiffin, who probably won’t be shedding any tears over not having to account for Robinson (9.5 sacks since 2022) on Dec. 30, reacted to the announcement on his own X/Twitter account.
“Best of luck!! Congrats on a great career!!” Kiffin wrote.

This year, Kiffin posted his second 10-win campaign in four seasons at Ole Miss. The Rebels went 10-2 in the regular season, losing only to SEC champion Alabama and two-time defending national champion Georgia.
No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 10 Penn State will meet in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta at noon ET on ESPN.
