UMKC transfer RayQuawndis Mitchell has committed to Penn State, he announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 17.3 points on 34.5-percent shooting.
“We are really excited to have RayQ in our family here at Penn State,” head coach Mike Rhoades said in a release. “He brings us experience and ability that is needed on the perimeter. RayQ fits our style of play and our approach. I can’t wait to get him on campus and get to work with him.”
Mitchell is the seventh player to transfer into an overhauled Penn State roster this offseason. He joins the likes of former UNC guard Puff Johnson, former Georgetown big man Qudus Wahab, Zach Hicks (Temple), Adrian Baldwin (VCU), Nicholas Kern (VCU), and Leo O’Boyle (Lafayette).
