Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a five-year, $204 million maximum contract. There are no options in the deal, per reports.
Maxey agree last offseason to delay signing an extension. This allowed Philadelphia to create maximum cap space for this summer. Most of that cap space will go towards signing Paul George to a max deal.
The 76ers will sequence their transactions to take advantage of Maxey’s relatively low cap hold. That will allow Philadelphia to use all of their cap space, before signing Maxey to his new deal.
