The Sixers had a split tribute video between the much-maligned Tobias Harris and fan favorite Paul Reed
One of the storylines heading into Wednesday’s Sixers-Pistons matchup would be the treatment of Tobias Harris in his first game back at the Wells Fargo Center as an opposing player.
This blog even spent much of the day debating how much, if any booing was appropriate for Harris. The five and a half years he spent here were rocky, to say the least, mostly due to the five-year near-maximum contract he was playing on.
The boos were evident during pregame introductions.

There was also some question as to how much the team would honor him, a pretty standard thing to do but still an interesting conundrum given the frosty reception Harris was due for from the fans.
The Sixers honored both Harris and Paul Reed, who also signed with the Pistons in the offseason, with a very brief tribute video after the game’s first timeout.

Again, this is very typical. KJ Martin even made the Clippers’ tribute video last season when the Sixers visited despite playing just two games for LA.
This was a pretty short video for how long Harris spent here, though it’s understandable given the circumstances. The fans in the building tried their best to boo the Harris highlights and cheer Reed’s, though that proved rather difficult.
