The Sixers played on Friday night in Iowa where NBA League Pass technical difficulties robbed viewers of a chunk of Paul George’s preseason team debut. Tonight should be a chance for the reserves (like 2024 Olympic star Guerschon Yabusele) to prove they deserve rotation roles.
Sixers’ Head Coach Nick Nurse gave us a clue on Friday about who would be in the lineup for Saturday’s preseason tilt in Boston vs. the defending champ Celtics. Paul George made his Sixers’ preseason debut and did not disappoint, flashing some cross-over step back brilliance vs. the Timberwolves.
Tyrese Maxey also dazzled, reminding fans he has his sights firmly set on an ALL-NBA berth and championship ring. We’ve yet to see Joel Embiid thus far, but Saturday should be a chance for the team’s depth options to prove themselves and earn Nurse’s rotation level trust.
Nick Nurse says Paul George will play & start tonight vs. Wolves. He said most of the vets would play tonight & rest tomorrow in Boston on 2nd of a back to back.
