The Oklahoma City Thunder are being investigated by the NBA for potentially violating the league’s player participation policy. The game under review came on March 7th when the Thunder beat the Portland Trail Blazers despite sitting out their entire starting five of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort and Isaiah Hartenstein. Cason Wallace also sat out the game.
The NBA is also looking into the Philadelphia 76ers for the recent absences of players such as Paul George (knee, back, finger) and Tyrese Maxey (back, finger).
The Utah Jazz were recently fined $100,000 for violating the NBA’s player participation policy with Lauri Markkanen.
