The Philadelphia 76ers signed Marcus Bagley to a second 10 Day contract. This deal comes with a bit of a CBA quirk.
In most cases, teams are not allowed to sign players to 10 Day deals with fewer than 10 days left in the season. However, since the Sixers are dealing with several season-ending injuries, they were approved for a hardship exception. This allowed Bagley to sign with Philadelphia for the final nine days of the season.
When the regular season ends for the Sixers on Sunday, Bagley’s deal will expire. Philadelphia will not have free agent rights for the forward following the season.
